Mirella Di Blasio is Lulu; mature ‘adult-escent’, half Native American - half Italian, jazz singer, epicurean and so much more. After 15 years of running her own event organizing company, she knows a thing or two about the Art of Hosting, and wishes no more than to share her knowledge with the world, one party at a time. But let's have her describe herself a bit.
"Ever since my early days, I have been the one in charge, the one who had the eye for planning parties and directing plays. My friends played the starring roles and dressed in "costumes" our parents would bring back from their numerous trips abroad. Born of parents both esthetes and epicureans, the table was set for a career in the Art of Hosting!
"After spending a number of years all over Canada, the United States and Europe, working in fashion and advertising, my natural talent finally sprung out. Or maybe I just simply welcomed it... And thus, in 2002, I started my own event production company: Lulu Events. My right brain had at last met my left brain.
"Today, after 5 years of wanting to share with you the sum of my experiences, and after finally finding the three associates who could help me turn this dream into a reality, I offer you Lulu in a Box!
"I wish you as much fun hosting for your guests as I do with the help of the exclusive collections I have created for you with the aid of young, talented graphic designers who added their magical touch."
The three associates Mirella talks about are Pierre, her life partner, director of operations and occasional "executive chef"; Isabelle, seasoned administrator, passionate about traveling and music and a private investor group!
The collaborators are Gaëlle our corporate communications officer; Merryl, the talented woman behind the lens; Julie, the chief graphic designer with the sharp pencil stroke; Stephane, the quill, who transforms our ideas into words; and Thibault, the youngest, in charge of the wellbeing of the website.
And finally, Simba the white dog, our mascot, who provides us with the incentive to get some fresh air and, all the while, get inspired by our neighborhood.
Thank you for inviting us to your party!
