Summer is not over!

Summer and its sunny days are not over. You can still host parties with friends. What better than a good meal in the backyard accompanied by a refreshing homemade cocktail? We have tested and selected four original and easy to make recipes that will accompany your last summer evenings.
1, 2, 3 .. Shake!

The new trend, Kombucha Cocktails.

New effervescent and fermented tea drink, Kombucha is THE new trend of this summer. This acidulous drink is known for its virtues and benefits on health and digestion. It is an excellent alternative to soda as it is both healthy and delicious. You can easily find Kombucha in most organic groceries and even some supermarkets.

Our advice: take a traditional cocktail recipe and replace the soda with Kombucha flavor of your choice: 30ml rum with mango Kombucha and a few mint leaves, your mojito will look like no other: originality assured!

The timeless Spritz

Aperol Spirts is a go-to summer drink. Of Austrian origin, this cocktail of a bright and flamboyant orange will please all of your guests thanks to its light sweetness and a slight bitterness.
Our advice: many variations exist but the original Spirtz is still our favorite. In a wine glass, mix 60 ml of Aperol, 90 ml of Prosecco and 25 ml of sparkling water. Finish with a slice of orange and serve fresh. Can you say refreshing?

Vodka - Watermelon, the perfect combo.

Want an easy-to-make and refreshing cocktail with just two ingredients? We found the perfect combo! Watermelon, with its fresh and sweet taste combines perfectly with vodka. Once the fruit is made liquid using a blender,  use about 200g of watermelon for 25ml of alcohol. We have seen some folks add sparkling water, lime and mint leaves as well.

Our advice: do not cut the watermelon into slices. Instead cut it in half, dig out the pulp and use the shell as a punch bowl. It makes for a beautiful centerpiece. Now you must decide if you quip your guests with giant straws or opt for a more civilized approach with glassware. Our Picnic table decoration collection, decorated with flamingos will be perfect to complete this summer table.

Blue and alcohol free!

Who said that non-alcoholic cocktails were not fun? Mocktails are a great way to ensure that everyone is included in what you are serving, regardless of their age or dietary restrictions! Traditionally made with vodka and curacao, our alcohol-free version of the Blue Lagoon is simple.
Our advice: 500 ml of grapefruit juice, 500ml of soft drinks like schweppes or lemonade, 3 tablespoons of mint syrup and lots of icicles!

We hope you were inspired by these classic and colorful cocktails.

We hope you try pairing one of the drinks above with your Lulu in a Box collection to make your last summer evenings memorable.

Feel free to share your best summer drink  recipes with us and enjoy in moderation of course!
