Russia's Catherine the Great's Rules of Etiquette, Part III

March 1st, 2018,

We’ve come to the Part III of Catherine the Great’s etiquette rules! We feel that our In vino veritas Lulu in a Box collection is appropriate :-)

Rules which shall obey those who enter within:

  • At the table, one shall eat what one wants as one wants, but one shall drink with moderation, so that everyone might get their legs back to go home.
  • Any quarrel shall remain hidden from the indiscreet; and that which enters through one ear will need to exit through the other before leaving the premises.
  • Whoever infringes the above rules and who is to be found guilty of an offence upon deposition of two witnesses, shall drink a glass of ice cold water.
