Russia's Catherine the Great's Rules of Etiquette - Part I

February 6th, 2018,

Lulu in a Box loves these etiquette rules form the 18th century! Here is Part I of III. Have fun reading them out loud to your friends!

Rules which shall obey those who enter within

  • They shall leave at the door their titles, as well as their hats and their swords.
  • They shall also leave at the door their privileges as well as any such thing which may come from them
  • They shall be jolly; they shall be careful not to break or damage anything, and they shall refrain from devouring whatever it may be.

We consider these rules to still be relevant; how about you?
