5 tips to avoiding an awkward dinner party

March 22nd, 2017,

Hosting a dinner is all about having fun, being with the people you care about, and forgetting a little about life’s problems. It’s meant to uplift you, especially when it’s only Wednesday, and you can’t wait for the weekend already.

So what happens if your night turns into an awkward disaster? Here are our five tips to making sure you and your invitees have a blast:

  • Music! If one thing can bring people together it’s music; and it will sing away any awkward moments.
  • Use the Lulu personalized name cards to avoid any weird seating arrangements.
  • Timing is essential! Time your dinner preparations in order for your invitees to arrive when your food is ready.
  • No phones! Dinner parties often turn into sheer silence when the dawn of the texts, Instagram, and Snapchats take over. You’ll see that leaving your phone alone for a couple hours will rejuvenate your dinner parties.
  • Last but not least, and actually the most important, remember to be yourself and have fun. As long as those two are happening, your dinners will be far from awkward!

Don’t worry too much about an awkward dinner party because as long as you have good company, good food, and a Lulu in a box collection, you’re set!
