Five suggestions to help plan a spontaneous dinner

November 10th, 2016,

Improvising a last-minute dinner with friends? Here are five tricks:

  1. Always keep a Lulu in a Box collection stashed away; that way, even if the tablecloths are stained, the party can go on;
  2. Keep a survival kit in the pantry: pasta, rice, quinoa, couscous, coconut milk, pesto; and the freezer: shrimps, fish filets, pizza dough, vegetable broth...
  3. Fondue night! Chinese, cheese, raclette... all easy to prepare, user-friendly and to enjoy without limits;
  4. Pizza bar - see item #2. Dust a section of counter top with flour and put on the table all that's sitting in the fridge: arugula, cherry tomatoes, dry sausage, goat cheese, gouda, camembert, red / yellow peppers, spicy olive oil...Arrange everything on nice plates and everyone can have fun fixing dinner;
  5. Taco bar. Same thing, but with fresh tomatoes, avocados, monterey jack cheese, fresh cilantro, lime, jicamas, jalapeños, salsa verde... ¡Ayayay! (Perfect with the Mexico mi corazon collection);
  6. Keep SMILING!
